Lifejacket & Liferaft Safety Presentation

On 8 June 2013 an exercise was carried out off Shetland to test the 'Man over Board Guardian' system, which has saved many fishermen's lives since it was introduced 6 years ago. A full report on the exercise can be viewed via the following link:

FREE LIFEJACKETS FOR ALL SCOTTISH FISHERMEN The Scottish Fishermen's Federation (SFF) has launched a project to supply a Personal Flotation Device (PFD) to every fisherman in Scotland at The Skipper Expo International Aberdeen 2013. NB: If you have not yet applied for a free lifejacket you can still do so.

If you have applied for a free PFD but have not been to either of the recent roadshows to collect it, then please contact the Fishery Office, Alexandra Building Lerwick (tel: 01595 692007) who have been tasked with distributing them.
