Nova Innovation decommissioning consultation

Nova Innovation decommissioning consultation

Nova Innovation is in the process of constructing an array of five tidal energy devices in Bluemull Sound. The first two devices in the array have successfully been deployed and a further three devices will be deployed over the next two years. The array is scheduled for decommissioning in 2027. This will involve the complete removal of all offshore components from the seabed, including all five turbines and power export cables. A consultation for the decommissioning is in progress with input welcomed from all interested parties by 17 February 2017.
